Towing the Earth home... and other great stuff.

Hello! I'm here again. More or less. Basically this journal is just to say that I'm still alive and will (hopefully) be posting more photos from the bird program soon. Oh yes, and I have very conflicted feelings about the Series 4 Doctor Who finale, if anyone's interested. Very conflicted indeed. As I've mentioned to various people before, during that episode I laughed, cried, and screamed "PHYSICS DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT!!!" If you've seen it, you know which bits I'm talking about.

Oh yes, and I now have an iPod, much to my happiness. And (completely unexpectedly) a Nintendo DS Lite. Anyone have any good game recommendations?

Other stuff I've seen etc. since the last journal entry:

The Dark Knight (EPIC!!!)
All Doctor Who up to "The Last of the Time Lords"
A couple of Alfred Hitchcock movies
Lots of Star Trek (mostly Voyager and TNG)

Feel free to post, people!

Bye bye (for a bit)

Allo, all!

I’m going to be out of town studying veterinary medicine (w00t!) for three weeks starting TOMORROW, July 12. I probably won’t have much computer access, so if you note me I will probably not respond within a week. But rest assured I will resume my procrastinating with posting to peoples’ accounts and random lurking around looking for Doctor Who pics when I get back!

BTW, my mood is not "sadness," but it won't let me change it. :( Alas. Insert "Happiness" there instead!

Flooding and aliens

  • Mood: Sadness
  • Listening to: Traditional Earth ballads
  • Reading: The Count of Monte Cristo
  • Watching: The SPORE countdown timer
  • Eating: Pizza
General stuff: What :iconcaliwings: said. Go read her journal on the Midwest flooding; it applies to me too. *cries* Best of luck to everyone who's seriously affected by it; it looks pretty bad.

Anyway. Looks like I'll be hanging out here at home for two more weeks this summer, as opposed to being away from a computer, art supplies and Doctor Who DVDs. (Not that I would have left those behind in any case, but anyway...)

Other stuff: Only a few days until the SPORE creature creator!!! I've seen the new Indiana Jones movie, as well. Funny, though: on Thursday I watched some adventurers meet some whip-wielding aliens ("The Christmas Invasion") and on Friday I watched a whip-wielding adventurer meet some aliens. Kind of a role-reversal, really. Plus they both had a couple of “Star Wars” references. Uncanny...

Misc. stuff and an alert

  • Reading: The Count of Monte Cristo
Wow. I haven't posted a new journal in a while, have I? Anyway, this is an alert that I shall not be online very much for the next two months or so. I'll probably come on every now and then to fav a couple of things, note friends, and maybe post a sketch or two, but don't expect any huge long journal entries. My life is about to get very very busy again. Plus the Creature Creator for Spore is coming out soon, and I plan to spend all my spare time making bizarre virtual animals, writing, hanging out with friends and watching Doctor Who. (I'm over halfway through Series 1 now!)

Au revoir for now.

Multi-Doctor amazingness!

  • Mood: Optimism
  • Listening to: Monty Python albums
  • Reading: Archaeology magazine
  • Watching: "Time Crash," again... 'cause it's funny
Sunday night, I was wondering about multi-Doctor episodes, so I went on Youtube and searched "Time Crash." I then proceeded to laugh my head off for 8 solid minutes. It's quite possibly the funniest thing I've seen since... since... I'm actually not sure when. A long time ago. It makes me giggle just thinking about it. Ten's zany brilliance contrasted so amazingly with Five's befuddled outrage. I can’t believe he called himself one of his own fans! :D I just love paradoxes. Plus I got a billion amusing quotes with which to confuse my non-Whovian friends, such as “Hey, I’m the Doctor, I can save the universe with a kettle and some string, and look at me, I’m wearin’ a vegetable!” :D

Not much else doing here, I suppose, except that I’m uber-busy and haven’t drawn anything for at least a week, not even sketches. I’ve taken some photos for photography class, though, so expect to see those up soon.

EDIT: The Christmas special airs Friday night on Sci-Fi channel! Twice! I'm totally going to watch it.
